Sustainability Education Session: Healthcare in action

On October 2, 2024, Philips hosted a panel conversation between Robert Metzke, Global Head of Sustainability for Philips, Clara Sattler de Sousa e Brito, Head of Europe for Philips, and several leading healthcare institutions across Europe (including NHS Durham Darlington in the UK, Champalimaud Foundation in Portugal, and Rennes University Hospital in France). Tune into their discussion about their respective hospital’s sustainability ambitions, the wide range of practical programs they have put into place to reduce emissions and waste and drive circular practices. This session included concrete, data-driven proof points that show the real-world impact of their sustainability initiatives and a transparent discussion about the challenges and the successes of their transformation journey.
