Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at your best suspension enhancement options on your 2020 Jeep Gladiator. So we're going to have two different options. Over here, we're going to have the Firestone. And over here, we're going to have the Air Lift. So let's go ahead and kind of run through some of the differences, and I'll tell you which one I would choose and why. So if I had to choose one option for my Gladiator, I would definitely go with the Firestone. And that's because the quality of construction, the amount we can adjust them, and the fitting on the top of the bag is going to be less likely to leak. So with that being said, let's go ahead and do a side-by-side comparison. That way you can see what I was talking about.So the quality of construction. When you get the Firestone bags in your hand, you're going to be able to tell that they're really durable, really thick and well-built, and overall just feels like they should last a really long time. Nice and thick, solid, and shouldn't break down or wear out over time.That doesn't take away from the Air Lift, saying they're not well-built, but just, compared to the Firestones, they're much thinner, much more rubbery-feeling almost, and, in my opinion, just feels like they could crack and maybe not last as long as the Firestones would.So a pretty common issue with these types of airbags is leaks at the fitting. And I think the Firestone has an advantage there as well. The Air Lift is going to have just a brass fitting that is barbed, and an air line just slides over it. The Firestone, however, is going to have more of a Schrader valve. And so it's going to be thicker. How it's embedded into the bag just feels really durable. You can't really bend or flex it. And so, in my opinion, that's really going to eliminate any leaks that could potentially happen because it's going to be more secure and thicker.As opposed to here, I feel like this fitting, you can really just bend it around easily. And feel like after a while of use, if the bag's not sitting in there perfectly straight, with that kind of bending back and forth, I could just see that being a weak point and developing a leak. I even think that the air line of the Firestone is going to have a slight advantage too. How it connects to the bag is this fitting here, and quite a bit of it is going to be brass. So we know that that's not going to crack and be way less likely to fail. And so that's actually going to thread onto the airbag. That's how it's going to be connected. Pretty sturdy, in my opinion.However, with the Air Lifts, it's going to be a little bit different. Since it's just that barbed fitting, we're not going to have any of them threads or anything like that. It's just the air hose that's going to get pushed right over it. And again, once you're going down the road and bouncing, that's really just going to put strain on that fitting and just be not as sturdy and well-built, in my opinion.So let's go ahead and kind of talk about the adjustability. Both sets of bags are going to have the same load-carrying capacity of up to a thousand pounds, but the Firestones are going to be adjustable from five PSI all the way up to 70 PSI. As to where the Air Lifts are going to be adjustable from five to 35. So although they can have, or handle, the same amount of weight, the Firestones, you're going to be able to fine-tune them a little bit more. You have a bigger range of air pressures you can set at, and that should allow you to find that more comfortable ride or that exact pressure that works the absolute best.As far as the installation goes, they're going to be really similar. They're going to come with everything you need. You don't need any crazy tools or anything like that. Everything's pretty basic. Shouldn't take you a whole lot of time. They both just slip right into the coil springs and that's really all there is to it.So I've actually had personal experience with the Firestones on a Gladiator, and driving that Gladiator before and after having these installed is a major improvement. The Gladiator does have kind of a softer suspension, which is great for everyday driving and off-roading. However, since they have a bed,
