Introduction: IIoT with the United Manufacturing Hub

This video is an introduction to our video series on setting up the Open-Source United Manufacturing Hub (based on Kubernetes) on an industrial PC as an IIoT platform. As a tutorial setup, we use an IO-Link distance sensor to count parts. During the video series we will install the UMH stack on an IPC running k3OS, connect to it via SSL, and use Lens to interact with Kubernetes. A Node-RED microservice will be used to reformat MQTT messages containing the distance measurements from our IO-Link sensor and implement sample logic to count parts. Finally, we show you how to create a Grafana dashboard (which also runs as a microservice).
