This video is meant to serve as a somewhat comprehensive history of the band "Crystal Castles". Controversy and all. Crystal castles was a revolutionary Canadian electronic music band formed in 2006 consisting of singer, Alice Glass, 15, and producer, Ethan Kath, 29. Also A Drummer named christopher chartrand But hes not too controversial so Whatever. *Why did I mention their ages?* (mystery mousekatool) Their exact genre of electronic music is hard to define, but they’ve been called electropunk, electroclash, synth-pop, witch house, and nintendocore. And fun fact: they’re often accredited with the creation or advancement of the witch house genre, and even more often accredited with making electronic music lovers instantly nut the second their music comes on. Through the years of 2008 till 2014, the group had found widespread appeal mastering elements of noise, punk, electronic, and house; and never seemed to run out of novelty with the sounds they could create. Some songs were even created with the soul intention of being earbleeds, and people loved it. Having meteoric rises with each release and even being featured on an episode of Skins, a quite popular British TV show, Crystal castles seemed to have a promising future as a staple of experimental electronic music-- releasing a total of 4 albums through the course of their career (Crystal Castles i, ii, iii, and Amnesty i). I really liked Crystal Castles growing up (my dad loved them in the late 2000s), so this video was pretty interesting to make for me. I've been slacking on Youtube and life recently, and I apologize.
