I made this quick little video to show some of the pond fish that do well in Australian ponds. I have many ponds around my house and wanted to keep fish other than goldfish. There are many species of fish that will thrive in an Australian garden pond. Exotic fish like white clouds, barbs, guppies, mollies and platy's. Or Australian fish like southern pygmy perch, rainbow fish, gudgeons, pacific blue eyes, even bass! There are many more but these are all readily available form local pet stores and even online, delivered to your door! And keep in mind a pond doesn't need to just be a home for fish! We can incorporate turtles, yabbies, shrimp and fresh water mussels in our garden ponds. So many options!
