#compassplane #stanley113 #circularplane In this video I'm restoring a 117 years old Stanley compass plane, type 113. It was very rusted. But I wanted to save the old patina underneath the rust so I didn't sandblast the parts but only washed them, derusted them with vinegar and sanded them. Then some oilprotectection and the rest of the restoring process. The big knob on top is originally a sort of silver metallic but I like it the way it is now, plain metal with oilprotection. I am also going to make a tutorial on sharpening planer blades, so I kept that part basic. Hope you enjoy the video.
