Days 45-48 of the GDMBR - From Wise River to Lima, MT

My experiences from day 45 to 48 on the GDMBR - September 30 to October 3, 2025. I spent two nights at the community center in Wise River, MT so I could do some maintenance on my bike. From there it was mostly highway riding to the Elkhorn Hot Springs Lodge, where I ate, soaked, and spent the night. Then more highway until I hit the Bannack Bench Rd, where I had my first taste of the dreaded peanut butter mud. Then to Grant, MT where I spent the night at the Horse Prairie Stage Stop. The next day, with bad weather in the forecast, I decided to skip the route along Medicine Lodge Road, and took the highway down to Lima, Montana.
