Moroccan-Inspired Boho Centerpiece with rich tones of turmeric and mustard pair beautifully with mahogany foliage in this Moroccan-inspired centerpiece. Join as Erik shows you how he created this autumnal tapestry perfect for your next autumn party. Materials used: Clothesline wire, Uglu dashes, yarn, ceramic bowl, liner, fresh floral foam, waterproof adhesive tape, faux succulent stem, candle votive with glass insert, candle, Japanese maple, ninebark foliage, miniature cymbidium orchid, pincushion protea, ‘Brighton’ roses (Rio), zonal geranium foliage, craspedia, scabiosa pods, and bunny-tail grasses. Step 1: Create yarn armatures using clothesline wire. Attach yarn 2” from the end with Uglu dash. Wrap yarn around the wire and continue wrapping. In certain areas, wrap yarn around itself more to create more volume and texture on the wire. Wrap each wire until you reach the other end, leaving 2” exposed on the opposite end as well. Bend and coil wires in unique and interesting forms. Step 2: Place presoaked fresh floral foam into the liner and anchor with waterproof adhesive tape. Set into a ceramic bowl. Set candle votive into the center of the foam. Insert yarn armatures into design in an interesting way. Step 3: Begin basing the centerpiece by inserting Japanese maple foliage on one side of the design, and ninebark foliage on the alternate side. Step 4: Add miniature cymbidium, and pincushion protea into the design. Add ‘Brighton’ roses (Rio) and zonal geranium foliage as a bright and beautiful contrast. Step 5: Introduce trendy dried elements such as craspedia, scabiosa pods, and dried bunny-tail grasses. Finish the design with a faux succulent stem as the unexpected element.
