Jewish life had been outlawed in the Soviet Union, and educating the next generation on the path of Torah was an almost impossible challenge. But when it came to fighting for the survival of Judaism in the USSR, the Rebbe was relentless. From his offices in Brooklyn, he led a clandestine network of rabbis and agents, to provide essential Jewish services, Torah classes, and to set up makeshift synagogues. Rabbi Berel Levy was one of the secret agents communicating between the Rebbe and the Jews trapped behind the Iron Curtain. This mini-doc, featuring original footage that was smuggled out of Russia, tells the amazing story of how the Rebbe led the underground Jewish community in the Soviet Union.
