I took this project because I wanted to try my hand at a City Cargo van design and build. This build is different from most of the City Cargo van designs. What I like it is the open feel and the ability to enter the van from either side. Originally for a solo traveler, but this works for a couples camper with just a few simple adjustments. For a couples camper, the passenger seat is returned to the front facing position and a mobile storage seat added. Last year, I did exactly this to this van (and added a house battery system). I felt it finally complete once I added the house battery setup. The toilet box or a mobile storage box can be used to extend the bed length if required. Just add a cushion. The ceiling height is a little lower on this NV200 because of the added rooftop air conditioner. I'd skip adding a rooftop air conditioner and make the bed platform higher. For a couple build you could also make the bed a little wider. If you are watching this and have a righthand drive vehicle, just do a mirror image of the build. A swivel seat for these is available in the UK (and other European countries). A swivel would be best for your seating instead of turning the passenger seat to face the rear. Swivel seats aren't available for the NV200 in the US. Some credits to go out. The seat flip idea came from Odyssey camper https://odysseycamper.com/the-first-n... If you are doing this however, no need to drill anything or unplug the air bag to reverse the seat. You can just turn it around and be careful with the wiring.
