We’re Better Together | Part 5: Character In this final message of the 5C’s, Pastor closes the series with the last “C”: Character. Using Proverbs 27:17, we learn that God doesn’t just want to change what’s happening around us. He wants to change what’s happening in us. This sermon is a call to stop treating church like an emotional fix and start letting God do the deeper work. Because real growth is not about a new season, a new job, a new relationship, or a new address. It’s about becoming a new person from the inside out. We’re better together because of: Community Connection Covenant Carry (we carry each other’s burdens) Character In this sermon, you’ll learn: Why changing your circumstances doesn’t automatically mean you’ve changed How God builds spiritual character through internal alignment, not just outward behavior The difference between measuring behavior and measuring fruit Why “church highs” can’t replace spiritual growth and real transformation What spiritual character really is: Internal alignment with the nature of Christ that produces consistent outward behavior How “iron sharpens iron” actually works: It requires close proximity (you can’t be sharpened from a distance) It requires friction and tension (growth takes heat, honesty, and accountability) Pastor’s challenge is clear: Trust the process.
