The Beam Centerline Extraction and Mesh Automation NX Open program takes a solid model of a beam in either the master or idealize part and extracts a centerline with attributes that are used in the fem by the Beam Mesh Automation command to generate the beam mesh, physical properties and mesh associated data. Version support: 2406, 2412, 2506 and 2512. In 2512, the following warning is issued: Warning: D:\application\CAE_SolidBodyCenterlineBeamMesh.dll is signed at NX 2406 While the current version is 2512.1700 The difference between versions is too great and it is expected that this program be recompiled. This is a standard warning issued if the application was compiled more than 2 releases prior. If the warning is ignored, the application runs without issue. Known caveats: Circular cross sections that do not have their ends trimmed normal to the centerline may fail. The work around is to trim the ends normal to the centerline prior to running the program If the geometry selected changes after the program is run to generate the centerline, the beam mesh will not update to reflect the changes. The program will need to be run again on the updated geometry Please let us know if you find any issues.
