Education system in India inculcated values in the young minds. Apart from vocational training, spiritual knowledge was provided. the objective of the education was to bring the best from students. Character building, talent development, development of cooperative culture, love for all were some of the aspects of education system. After completing the syllabus of say 12 to 14 years young man would emerge with courage, conviction, compassion and love for fellow beings. A human being is not merely money making robot, he has inner feelings, urge for Knowledge, identification with others, want of permanent happiness. Education therefore must make man productive, enthusiastic, loving, peaceful, Happy. Gurukul fulfilled all human requirements. Todays education seekers are happy with mere fluffy jobs. So as long as they are paid well, they would do anything told to them by their bosses. Many scientists are busy developing weapons of mass destruction, engineers are given jobs of designing games for children in order to make them addictive, medicines are making man totally dependent, rather slaves. Jhulelal was provided with Vedic education, providing the knowledge of this world and something beyond it.
