Within the heart of Kuala Lumpur city centre lies the enchanting KL Forest Eco Park. KL Forest Eco Park was formerly known as Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, and is one of Malaysia’s oldest permanent forest reserves. It offers a serene and green oasis for visitors to escape the urban environment and immerse themselves in nature. This rainforest park is located right next to one of Malaysia’s most recognizable landmarks, the KL Tower. Gazeted in 1906, KL Forest Eco Park is identified as a Virgin Jungle Reserve and houses an area of about 5 hectares. It is surrounded by a concrete jungle in the form of buildings and skyscrapers. Entry is not free, though. There is a fee of RM10 for adults, RM1 for kids and senior citizens, provided they have MyKad. Otherwise, the entrance fee is RM40 for adults and RM5 for kids. The Park is opened daily from 8:00am to 5:30pm There are two entrances into the park for visitors. First is via the KL Tower gate and the other via the Interactive Gallery located in Jalan Raja Chulan. Upon entering via the KL Tower gate, there are directional signages to the various trails, including the 200 metres canopy walk. The canopy trail offers an exhilarating walk along the treetop canopy walkway, offering panoramic views of the surrounding forest and city skyline. The main walking trail covering this park is paved. There are other smaller trails within the route that visitors can check out. They are well-marked, allowing visitors to discover various plant species. Visitors are advised to protect them-selves with insect repellents. WCs are available in the park for those who need to use them. How to Get There? 1. By Car The forest reserve is located in front of Jalan Raja Chulan. If you are entering through the KL Tower Entrance, you can park at KL Tower car park. Otherwise, there is a car park in Menara Olympia if you choose to enter through the Jalan Raja Chulan gate. 2. By Train Take the Kelana Jaya Line LRT and stop at Dang Wangi Station, or take the KL monorail and disembark at Bukit Nanas station. Those who use the Ampang Line LRT need to disembark at Masjid Jamek LRT station. 3. By Bus The KL Hop-On Hop-Off bus takes you directly to KL Tower which is right next to the park. Taman Eko Rimba KL is also serviced by several buses to and from the city centre. @KCfaith Disclaimer: The information provided by us is our opinion and is provided for entertainment and informational purposes only.
