PRINCIPLE CONSTRUCTION BUILDS NEW TRUCK MAINTENANCE AND WAREHOUSE FACILITY FOR OROZCO TRUCKING

ROSEMONT, December 3, 2025-- Principle Construction is nearing completion on a new 55,468 square foot corporate headquarters for Orozco Trucking at 2580 Mason Road in Elgin, Illinois. Orozco Trucking specializes in climate-controlled and dry freight delivery across the country. The opportunity to design, construct, and own a facility specifically suited to their unique needs was the impetus for vacating their leased facility in Elk Grove Village. “Principle has a reputation for designing and constructing trucking facilities with large truck/trailer lots, truck maintenance/repair, warehousing, and office needs. Facilities such as these are in high demand and satisfy an ever-increasing need to support the freight industry that ensures products are delivered as the economy demands,” says Mark Augustyn, COO and principal on the project. “Extensive planning was necessary to combine individual properties, including four (4) residential lots, mitigate wetlands, accommodate Elgin’s annexation requirements, include IDOT setback demands, and facilitate the specific restrictions of a high-pressure gas pipeline easement bisecting the property while still meeting all of Orozco’s design goals. We’re now looking forward to delivering Orozco a state-of-the-art corporate headquarters where they can continue to grow their business.” The new 55,468-square-foot facility includes 23,668 square feet of two (2) story office with 15,000 square feet of warehouse space and 16,800 square feet of truck/trailer maintenance space. The site development includes heavily landscaped berms for visual screening, new detention ponds for wetland mitigation, and extensive paving to accommodate 107 parking spaces, 138 tractor/trailer stalls, four shipping docks, and four vehicle maintenance drive-in doors. The new facility offers easy access and high visibility to I-90, along with numerous amenities for over-the-road truck drivers. Principle’s Darrin Dehmlow is the project manager on this project. Principle’s Scott Nagel will serve as the superintendent. Harris Architects provided architectural services.
