Welcome to a new train review. This video shows the longest train service onboard a diesel regio train which has its start at Nuremberg Central station and is heading on a nearly 3 hour ride to the border town called Hof which is a few kilometres far away from the border to the Czech Republic and the other federal state Saxony. The 3 hour ride to Hof: Join me on journey onboard a older Diesel Regio Train from Nuremberg Central Station to Hof Main Station. For me it was my longest train ride onboard a Diesel Region train of 3 hour and a few minutes. The train departed Nuremberg with four wagons which made the train very long and head via Hersbruck and Vilseck to Neustadt at the town Sulzbach. There the two last wagons were split and head to Regensburg main station. I showed you the first class cabin, the separate second-class area where I had my seat and the rest room. The landscape changed from a early spring time weather after departure to a winter wonderland at the low mountain range called Franconian Alb to Hof central station. The whole time inside was very long but very interesting as well. About the Regio train number 612 which is used in this route: These trains with number 612 are based at Germany are in own of the Deutsche Bahn company in service at railway route with no electricity connection. From Nuremberg central station these trains departed to the northeast part of Bavaria, to the next federal state Saxony and one time on the day to the Allgäu Regio like Lindau and Obersdorf. Destinations of the northeast part of Bavaria are the border town called Hof, to the catholic city Regensburg, to Bayreuth and the old industry town called Weiden. The trains are designed in a two-class seat configuration in First and Second class. Also in the trains are a bike area, a toilet and separate second-class area. Since 2025 these trains have an own service of WIFI onboard which can connect with the smartphone and computer.
