Explore the costal town of Quepos and Manuel Antonio with me on my first solo trip to Costa Rica. I took the bus from Jaco to Quepos which was super easy. It's about an hour and half ride and only cost around $5. The bus runs frequently, so it was no problem hoping right on at the bus stop. When I arrived in downtown Quepos I took a cab to my Airbnb for around $7. However, I later learned how easy it would have been to get on another local bus for just 50 cents. I stayed half way between Quepos and Manuel Antonion, which was lovely and relaxing. For my first evening I enjoyed dinner at the Manuel Antonio Falafel bar which had huge portions and made fresh Tahini in house. It was delicious and filling. I spent the first day walking from my cute Airbnb to the most beautiful beach called Playa Biesanz. I highly recommend this chill spot. The water was so crystal clear and a beautiful aqua color. I went early and it did get more crowded around the afternoon, but people came and went keeping it not to busy. The hike to the beach was beautiful through the jungle and I saw a lot of monkeys in the afternoon hiking back. On my second evening I took the bus to downtown Quepos to check out the local farmers market on Friday nigh. To my surprise the local school band was performing and it was really fun to watch and listen to them play. I had dinner at a local soda which again was filling, delicious, and under $20. I took the bus back from the main bus stop to my Airbnb and wrapped up the evening in the hammock. In the end, I wish I had more time in Quepos and I'd definitely go back again.
