One of Bangkok's oldest markets, Talat Phlu, is a community and marketplace by the canal Khlong Bangkok Yai in Talat Phlu subdistrict, Thon Buri district, Thonburi side of Bangkok. It has been around for over 200 years, filled with the history of food and dessert and Thai tea ( my favourite!). I would love very much for you to visit this true local market full of interesting stories. It makes me feel like visiting Thailand in the old times, where people still played chinese chess on the street, cooking in the old ways, using the train for transportation.
