It is important to them that they keep performing pro bono surgeries and volunteer medically and within the community. It brings a light to the practice's culture and reminds Drs. Lieberman and Parikh why they got involved in medicine in the first place. About HUGS Foundation, Inc. (Help Give Us Smiles) - https://helpusgivesmiles.org/ HUGS is giving smiles to children in Ecuador, Guatemala, and Vietnam — and we will be expanding to Peru soon! Children with congenital facial deformities such as cleft lip, cleft palate, and microtia receive free surgeries from HUGS Foundation, Inc. thanks to the kindness and generosity of our volunteer medical staff and those who donate supplies and funds. Our mission is to deliver free surgery to children and adolescents around the world and this is our 18th year of giving smiles. In many countries, a birth defect can become a devastating social stigma. We are proud to report that we have completed 35 missions and performed over 1,700 free surgeries to children and adults. While this ongoing pandemic has forced us to cancel our missions, we can assure you that we are determined and focused on providing surgery for the kids as soon as the team can travel internationally without worry.
