How to Eyedropper Convert a Platinum Preppy

One of the best values in the fountain pen world is converting a Platinum Preppy fountain pen into an eyedropper pen, and here's how. All you need is an o-ring and a bit of silicone grease, and a minute of your time. This technique can be used on other cartridge/converter fountain pens, too, as long as you have a fully sealed pen body with no metal parts inside. Doing an eyedropper conversion will allow you to save money by avoiding ink cartridges or a converter, and it gives you a higher ink capacity. Update as of 2021: We used to offer Preppy eyedropper conversion as a service at our store, but discontinued it years ago.
