LAND GRAB IN BLOEMFONTEIN SOUTH AFRICA !!

On 2 March 2024 several thousand people gathered at two pieces of open land near Pellissier and Lourierpark in Bloemfontein South Africa. There they proceeded to erect several thousand illegal structures and proceeded to occupy them, resulting in a major land grab. A court order were obtained and the illegal squatters ordered to leave. The Sout African Police Service as well as the Municipal Police were supposed to enforce this court order but they dragged their feet and the situation then escalated where it could have been contained very quickly.. Only on 5 March did the SAPS start to prevent new squatters from entering the area. There are however stil a substantial number of structures remaining as can be seen in the video. The legal inhabitants of Pellissier and Lourierpark are living in fear of their safety. And property values have already started to go down. Everybody is waiting to see what happens next.
