This video is a short review presentation of trimming two holds to depart at “Even Keel” on loading port. It will make easy for the Chief Mate to compute the departure draft without using the Loadicator. Departure draft make things easy if you know the basic principles of trimming two holds to a specific program. Take advantage of such program to lessen your work load on board. This is not a short cut method but rather a mathematical approach by excel for ship board use. I always recommend that you take time of learning on how to compute your departure draft at berth in an even keel condition. Regardless of how far your knowledge and experience, you can still learn and achieve your goal of departing at loading port on “Even Keel” condition. Lastly, keep at least 5 to 10 copies of your loading sequence and make it a habit of practicing trimming two holds using your loading sequence. By doing so, you will have a self confidence of trimming two holds. As the saying goes, “Practice makes perfect.” Please take note that with this program the results of each case is “Zero” deflection. Just follow the recommended remaining cargo to load and you will have a zero deflection.
