I hate disposing old batteries. I feel bad for the environment and despite buying good branded alkaline batteries, many factors like shelf life and storage conditions determine the strength of your power cells. Rechargeable batteries have a higher upfront cost, be it the charger or the batteries. Considering you can recharge them multiple times before they expires, it is somehow greener especially if you have young children with toys or devices that require batteries to operate. This Nickel Metal Hybride (NiMH) battery charger from Energizer is one of the many brands out there. I chose this because of the compatibility with the typical household battery needs. You can charge AA, AAA, C, D and even 9V batteries. The device is not without its limitations and downside. Personally, I find the main limitation is with the charging status indicator and that it is 3x higher priced than a typical battery charger that is sold with a battery pack. The charging status indicator only shows green when charging and blinking green when there's a faulty battery. I wish they can have more colour indication to the battery power status, which in the end I bought a battery tester from TAKIT to complete the battery kit. It is also useful for testing 1.5V button cell batteries which are commonly used for children books and watches. Does the maximum compatibility worth the premium price or is it better to get separate chargers for different sizes? Don't get me wrong, it is still a decent product made by a reputable brand. The question is if you can afford the space for multiple charger or if you want one that can charge most batteries. I hope my video helped in making your purchasing decision. Thank you for watching!
