In this video I unbox the Qnap managed switch tell you the reasons why I bought it and show you how I set it up on my wall. Overall I love this switch because it allows you to plug in multiple power supplies to it, and you can run it from a 12v to 48v lithium off-grid battery. This is great switch. It was easy to set up. It didn't work right away, but I reset it and it started working great. On first logon, I input the password that is on the back sticker you should photograph before mounting to wall it asked for you to update the password and on logon upgraded the firmware. In the firmware page it shows you which ports something is plugged into. What is great about this switch is that you can plug in all 16 ports, as on previous model several of the ports were shared and it was not as good as this. It is also a compact fanless design and comes with a server rack bracket and a bracket to mount it to a wall. I chose the wall mount option. Everything is fantastic quality and I am happy I got it as I am a Qnap switch and Nas user for many years and everything has been working great for me. I also have their industrial Nas, which is also fanless. I think they put extra effort in making these supoerior quality.
