Tom Tjaarda is one of the post-war era's most prolific stylists. Starting his career in 1959, he first worked at Ghia, Pininfarina, and then De Tomaso. The Tjaarda Design studio was founded in January of 1986, with its first project tackling an interior design and prototype study for American Motors, producers of the Jeep. In the years that followed, Tjaarda Design has worked on many different types of projects, from automobiles to industrial products. Some of the companies that have collaborated with Tjaarda Design include Honda, Suzuki, Chrysler, Spyker, Ford, FIAT, and many more. Today, Tom remains very active in designing cars and industrial design developments, and is available for consolation for prospective projects.
