Criminal Justice Training Commission head prepares to retire after 3 decades in law enforcement

A big change is coming to law enforcement in Washington state. In March, Monica Alexander will retire from her role as executive director of the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC). Alexander has been with the Commission since 2019 and served as its head since 2021. Prior to that, she spent more than 20 years with the Washington State Patrol. She became the first black woman to earn the rank of sergeant, lieutenant, and captain. She was even honored by the Washington State Senate with a resolution last month.
