In Episode 12 of the Wltoys K989 1/28 Rc drift project, we are going to upgrade the differential with a one-way diff from the Sinohobby mini -q one of the best upgrades for a 4 wheel drive drift car The biggest improvement is not losing grip on the front wheels under breaking because the front wheels keep on rolling free and only the rear wheels break and slip It´s just like pulling the handbrake on a full-size car to start the drift in the corner It also gives you more oversteer and removes the understeer of a 4WD car There is just one problem with this one-way differential upgrade don´t fit the K989 You need to pull both axles out and add two m3 washers on both axles and add some paper inside the cups Removing the play between the axles and dog bone because if the axles stick outside the diff too much they don´t touch the special one-way bearing and stop doing their job It´s a precise modification you can´t add to much paper inside the cup or your wheel starts to run rough and is like driving with the break on one wheel So when you then release the throttle the car starts turn the way where the one wheel is breaking something you really don´t want The things you need for this Wltoys k989 mods the Sinohobby mini Q one-way diff: https://goo.gl/61wSp6 4x M3 washers:https://goo.gl/r4urop 3mm inside 7mm outside diameter This was another Rc Drift Project episode 10 of How To DIY Rc wishing you to the best and a lot of fun stay positive :D Hope You Like this Video & Subscribe:https://goo.gl/GmzhdD if you have any Questions then leave them down below!
