This is one of my favourite recipes that goes well with almost all types of meat. In my house we often use it if have pork chops or oven baked chicken breasts for dinner. The recipe is for a good amount of sauce, so if you need a smaller portion or just to give it a try first - then just use half the ingredients from the list below. Ingredients 1 kg mushrooms 60 g butter, cubed (you can use sunflower oil if you prefer) 1/2 cup plain flour (roughly 65g) 250 ml double cream 1/2 tsp cinnamon 600 ml water 2-3 garlic cloves, minced 1 1/2 tsp salt a pinch of black pepper Reduce the sauce according to your needs, but keep in mind that when the sauce cools down, it will thicken more.
