So you guys get to seem him go through the process of figuring it out and getting to land it for the first time. Other than that, I would say this is one of the easier tricks to learn in BMX Freestyle so if you are a beginner this is a good one for you. Also, the barspin is just a really cool trick to do in general and is something you can add to your combos. As always, hope you all enjoy the video and until next time... Happy Ridin' RL (Subtitles) Okay you are rolling. All right how are you guys doing? We are going to do a how to on how to do a barspin. Not like you see these guys doing 10 ft out of bowls and all of that stuff, this is just on the ground spinning or bars. It is a little harder than it looks but it's not that hard it just takes a little time and I'm going to show you how to do it. Cool, and you’re gonna be doing it on the 20”? I'm going to do it on the 20 inch because that is what I have been riding for the last few days. And it is a good-looking trick whether you have a gyro or not. I started doing it because I did not have a gyro and I don't like all the cables but this gyro works really good so. I'm going to end it looks good if you come out of a trick and you spend your bars just going to look at a Finishing Touch. Watch Eddie Fiola oh, he does it a lot and he's got it down and he does it right at the right time. Yeah. But I will show you how it goes. And I am going to try, I don't know how to do this yet but I'm going to be trying it out on the 22” to see if I can get it down. Yeah. Cool. All right do you want to get started with it? Sure you want me to just do it? Yeah I guess so if you want to walk us through it, explain how you do it. Yeah, I have this foot on the pedals down, my back foot on the pegs because it makes it easier to lift up the tire. And that way I can just, little tiny. See you I just put the inside of my knees and this curved part of your seat, I lock it against there. yeah. And it will get a little sore there. And as I do a little wheelie you spin the bars. On the ground you kind of get a, it feels weird. so if it is off the ground it goes real quick and you catch it right so you spin it, catch it. So 1 foot down, back foot on the pedals. I am pinching my seat oh, a little tiny wheelie. How do you get the front wheel up? Well I just throw my weight back and just for a quick second. You can also learn it at first just grab the inside of your bar. that you don't even have to do a wheelie. But on a 26 The Rake you've got to do a wheelie otherwise will go off into circles. So this is on the pedals and it is a little different because my seat isn't pinched but. little tiny wheelie and spin them fast. so to start out I recommend going half spin. and as I am doing that I've got my hand ready. Almost took my family out. Right there. And then eventually you'll want to do the whole thing. And you said you pinched your seat with your legs right you already talked about that? Yeah because if you are not pinching your seat and you do a wheelie what is holding you from just back diving into the concrete. Yeah. Just un weight the front end. Oh wow. I can't pinch my see very well but. That one was pretty much on the ground. Uh huh. can you do it completely on the ground without lifting your wheel at all? If you spin it fast. You just kind of get all your weight on the back tire or the back wheel. A little bit. This is good because this is like a 75 head angle or something like that. 74.5. If you got a straight down head angle you could just spend your bars all day long but you will feel that little. So go slow and spin fast and you will be good. And just start with a little half you know. But again this is really secure because you can lock your legs, you can lean back. oh nice. Let's go for a double. You're going to go for a double? Yes I've never done this before. Was that? Oh-oh. There's one. Oh 1 and a half. There's a double. Nice. Okay let's see if I can do that again. Oh. one, that foot has to be down and one foot on the back peg however you want to do it. Yeah. Now you have more weight back comment now just go like this, just lift and do a 180. You are lifting with your handlebars? Yeah as I spin. Just get used to doing that. Yes. Yes. That's how you're supposed to do it? Yeah now it feels really uncomfortable at first right? Because you don't know how far to Lean Back, how much to get the wheel off the ground that was it. Your bar spun around and caught it. It doesn't matter if you grab the end or the lever just grab whatever.
