How is Louis the Cat Settling in with family of LOTS of DOGS

A quick update on Louis the Cat and how he’s settling in. Overall surprisingly pretty good. It’s now been 6 days and Louis doesn’t want to hide away anymore. He’s very curious and friendly and likes to hang out with his new family. Even if this wasn’t quite the family he might have dreamt of back at the vets. I’m pretty sure this wasn’t. But he is a very cool guy that is very much looking at the glass is half full. Yes there are dogs at every single corner, but they are all very friendly and well mannered. They’ve been given the brief, formally, that yes Louis is also off the menu. Even the one named Abra that he was warned about, has been respectfully practicing her training to give him space. Louis walks through the sleeping pack at night like he’s lived here for a lot longer than 6 days. Kitty Rose is tolerating Louis. She still seems to prefer her old title of only cat amongst a hoard of dogs … but the big orange guy is growing on her. Louis has been very respectful of the fact that this was Kitty’s home first, but he has had to stand tall on a couple of occasions more recently to simply send the message that I’m here to stay, but I don’t want any trouble. Louis loves the morning sunshine, the back of the old Chesterfield, the top of Kitty’s tree (we’ve ordered another one), he likes swatting insects, exploring his new surrounds, any food you’re giving out and he likes to talk a lot too. Mostly to tell us to give him a pat. He’s already won our hearts and he fits right in, not afraid to share his life with 20 odd other animals. Just the way we like it too Louis.
