They have faced no shortage of challenges this season including an abundance of powdery mildew which destroyed a huge percentage of their crop. They quickly saw a limitation of time and labor since it was just the two of them running the operation. Developing a system for equipment and row spacing were also challenges they had to overcome in this first year. When it came time to lift plastic, they researched what options were available and even visited a friend with a horse drawn plastic winder.
