"Let's Turn It Up": Bauer City 1 Stations rebrand to Hits Radio | 17/04/2024

Presenters of the breakfast shows across the Hits Radio Network brought in the rebranding of their respective stations to Hits Radio at 6AM on April 17th 2024. It comes after branding and jingles were swapped out for warnings of the change, and almost 2 years after networked programming was introduced on Bauer stations across the UK, giving them all an almost identical schedule. Whilst most programming which some stations held up to this point were lost as a result of the change, all the stations have retained their breakfast shows, and special programmes have also stayed, for example The Farming Programme, Sundays at 7am on Lincs FM. The station's logo and branding have been given a slight retouch in the wake of the change, sporting a more vibrant set of colours than before. On DAB, the stations originally named 'HITS RADIO UK' have been retitled to 'RETUNE' and as of midnight on the 18th are playing a 125-second loop of ambient sounds; the DLS reads "We're now [Title of new HITS RADIO station], find us in your station list".
