Dr. Hajj-Ali identifies red flags such as failure to respond to Cyclophosphamide, absence of brain inflammation and presence of ocular disease that might be indicative of a different diagnosis. In this case the patient was ultimately diagnosed with retinal vasculopathy with cerebral leukoencephalopathy and systemic manifestations.
