This recipe is simple, satisfying, and perfect for lunch or dinner. Tender chicken strips are cooked with mushrooms in a rich creamy sauce and served alongside golden crispy hash browns made from fresh potatoes. It's a classic combination that everyone loves! Ingredients For the creamy chicken and mushroom sauce • 3 chicken thighs, cut into strips • Olive oil • 1 tablespoon butter • 1 onion • 250 g (0.55 lb) champignon mushrooms • Salt • Garlic powder • 1 cup cream (250 ml) For the hash browns • 5 potatoes • 1 egg • 2 tablespoons starch • Salt • Oil for frying Cooking instructions Cut the chicken thighs into strips. Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the chicken until golden brown. Remove to a plate. Add butter to the pan and sauté the chopped onion for about 3 minutes. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened. Return the chicken to the pan. Season with salt and garlic powder. Pour in the cream, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Hash browns Grate the potatoes. Pour boiling water over them and cook for about 3 minutes after boiling. Drain and let cool. Add salt, egg, and starch. Mix well. Fry in hot oil on both sides until golden and crispy.
