This is a blend of seven different types of tobacco, in order to represent Winston Churchill's multifaceted and versatile personality. Each vitola takes inspiration from a side of Churchill's character, for example the Commander and the Aristocrat. As for the wrapper, it's a thin and delicate Habano. Two Nicaraguan fillers, Estelí and Condega, add fire to the blend from their volcanic regions. Spiciness and sweetness come from the Mexican binder, while Dominican tobaccos bring it all together. This is a very balanced blend, using only mild Seco leaves which will not overpower the palate. Hence, you won't experience flavour spikes at each third. It starts sweet and smooth, with vanilla, and a subtle acidity comes in, like a green grape or green apple. Towards the middle, there's a sprinkle of spice, while the back brings a little leather or light wood. The point of the Winston Churchill is to be flavourful, but not strong. It's a smooth smoke, thanks to the fermented tobacco, with a hint of a creamy aftertaste. Overall, it's a blend you can enjoy in the morning with softer accompaniments like cappucino, champagne, or blanc de noirs. This means it's a very standalone cigar; you want to savour and avoid overpowering its flavour. The Winston Churchill contrasts with Davidoff's core line, which use three tobaccos to stimulate specific palate zones. REMEMBER to comment!
