300 Essential VERBS in Levantine Arabic | First Person Present Tense | Arabic Verb Collection Marhaba! Today we’re going to learn 300+ essential verbs in Levantine Arabic. They will all be in the first person present tense form. I will repeat each verb twice so you get the chance to listen and repeat. Repetition is key to memorizing, so keep this video on in the background while you’re doing chores, driving, or as you’re falling asleep and practice your Arabic! We'll learn verbs such as "I walk", "I write", "I think", "I cook", "I run", "I hug", and many more. Any future corrections and notes can be found here: ** Corrections ** None ** Notes ** 1. First as you may have noticed, there can be multiple ways to say a verb. For instance, “I make” can be بَعْمِل (ba’mil) or بَسَوِّي (basawwi). 2. The second point is that some verbs don’t match perfectly with their translation. For instance, I paint/I apply is بَدْهَن (badhan). In English we can say “I apply to a job” or “I apply cream”, but in Arabic the word “badhan” is solely for the second meaning “I apply cream”. If you wanted to say “I apply to a job” you would use the other “I apply” which is بَقَدِم (ba’adim). I tried my best to clear any confusions while keeping the video succinct, but this is something very important to keep in mind! 3. Levantine Arabic refers to a mix of different spoken dialects, therefore you won’t find a lot of these words in written text. Also, harakaat (diacritics) may change depending on a region’s pronunciation. For instance for the verb “I leave”, I pronounced it بَتْرِك (batrik), but others may pronounce it بَتْرُك (batruk). 📄 Downloadable Vocabulary PDF Available for Purchase: https://shami-speaker-shop.fourthwall...
