In this video I go over all the basic aspects of the form principle as well as all the different attributes of materials when it comes to rendering. Obviously this is all keeping it pretty surface level and every material has it's own little quirks and unique qualities, but I sincerely think that thinking about these different elements when painting and studying materials makes it a million times easier to understand what you are painting. And it sure beats just aimlessly scribbling away until something sorta looks right.
