Building An Outhouse In the Canadian Winter - Off Grid Living At The Dovetail Log Cabin

One of the much needed buildings has been an outhouse. We have been working on this for the past few months and it is beginning to finally take shape. I decided to build an outhouse with a 4'x4' foot interior and a small porch on the front. I thought the porch may be useful for a small sink, storage, or if I ever wanted to extend the size of the outhouse. Like many of my projects recently, the build has stretched throughout different seasons. I enjoy looking back to see the seasons change in the video. I am planning to finish the outhouse this spring. In terms of style of outhouse, I dug a hole under the outhouse before building it so that I could have the option of a pit-style outhouse. However, I am also contemplating using a composting toilet.
