The Internet of Cars: Unlocking the Value of Vehicle Data

What if there was a way for your car to sell the data it produces and purchase the data it needs, peer-to-peer, in real-time without relying on a centralised third party? Here we demonstrate how a decentralised real-time data marketplace can facilitate information exchange to optimise the road network and increase safety. Data is collected by Bosch sensors and transmitted live to the Streamr Marketplace where it is aggregated into bundles for others to purchase, not stuck in data silos. Hardware wallets, installed by Riddle&Code, give vehicles unique identities to turn the cars into trusted data sources. By transforming the Jaguar iPace’s on-board computer into a functioning node in our Network, Streamr proves that the p-2-p model makes smart cities a reality by unlocking the value of data to create a real-time machine dialog.
