Hey guys, welcome back to the channel, my name is iiNeville, and today I will be going through everything that we currently know about the AEW console game, developed by Yukes. Before we get started, make sure you hit the subscribe button and turn on notifications, so you do not miss any of my videos on the new video games throughout 2021. But for now, let us get into what we know about the AEW Yukes console game. To get started, this is the first major console being published by AEW Games, of course they would not be able to do it on their own, so they enlisted the help of Yukes, who are profound in the wrestling video game market, with their last wrestling game that they developed being WWE 2K19, which was released in 2018. The game will be released on current-gen consoles, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as the next-generation of consoles, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X and S. The release date for the game is still unknown at this time, but as stated by Kenny Omega, AEW wants to really make a legendary game, so they will take the time and effort it needs to achieve that goal, with a possible release date of 2022. Now for the features of the game, the art style of the game is inspired by WWF No Mercy and Virtual Pro Wrestling, the current visual style of the game is said to have more of an arcade look than the series of games for WWE. The gameplay is also inspired by WWF No Mercy, as well as Here Comes the Pain. A modern-day version of the classics, with fast and fluid hard-hitting gameplay, a variety of moves, as well as unique and brand-new concepts and mechanics. The game will still be realistic, with moves and counters that are realistic to real life but will be fast paced compared to the full simulation counterparts. Moving onto the game engine, the current game engine for the game is an entirely new engine. Which Yukes is building completely from scratch. Now to game modes that will feature in the game, the game will feature a campaign mode, however it will not feature a GM mode, because that is included with the AEW Elite General Manager mobile game. Other than that, it has been stated that the game “will have the modes that fans expect to be in there”. Looking at the Creation Suite now, there will be a Create-A-Wrestler mode within the game with a robust set of features. You will be able to create any wrestler you want, from weird and wacky characters to realistic wrestlers from other wrestling promotions. Create-A-Moveset has also been confirmed for the game, however, there have been no further details as to what the mode will contain. Online Play will also feature in the game in the form of competitive online multiplayer. You will be able to play with or against your friends, with all sorts of options and all match types. AEW have also said they are exploring ways to allow Cross-Platform play and other innovative features. Not surprisingly, blood will also be featured in the game, with wrestling being able to bleed during a match, as well as the blood being able to remain on the ring mat during the match. Intergender matches will also be featured in the game according to the teaser trailer. In which it featured Kenny Omega in a matchup against Hikaru Shida, an interesting note from the trailer as well featured the tagline “where dream matches become reality”, suggesting that in the game, anything will be possible. So there we go, that’s everything we know so far about the AEW console game being developed by Yukes, if you want more of these sorts of videos, then make sure you hit that like button and click the subscribe button and turn on notifications for more videos on my channel throughout 2021, and I’ll see you in the next one.
