This episode I showing how to attach the flywheel to the coupler on a hyper 9 motor. Because it is an interference fit, you need to heat the flywheel to expand it and cool the coupler to shrink it, otherwise it's going to be super hard to attach. About So Cal Works: This video series documents my EV conversion of a 1966 Porsche 912. EV conversion will mate a Netgain Hyper9 electric motor to the original transmission. I will be using 5 Tesla Model S battery modules to power the car. I've owned this car since the early 90s and have wonderful memories. It's a great car but I want to be able to drive it daily (and over 60 mph) as an EV with improved performance than stock. I'll of course save and store the stock engine so if I ever want to go back to gasoline, it'll be a quick swap. #evcars #evconversion #porsche #porsche912 #diy @eastwoodco
