There were 1,244 jobs at Texas Craft Breweries in 2011, out of 2,429 total brewery jobs. Craft breweries produce only 0.7% of the beer consumed in Texas, but provide 51.2% of the jobs.Texas craft beer actually has the impact of creating 6,351 jobs in Texas including brewers, wholesalers, retailers, suppliers, and the jobs that are created as the wages created by the industry trickle down.There were 79 craft breweries with active licenses in Texas as of December 31, 2011.
