Game trailer 3:16 Game developer: UBISOFT Director: PATRICK CLAIR Animation:ANTIBODY http://www.antibody.tv Patrick Clair, director, Sydney, Australia: "The client wanted something scary and memorable. They wanted something that would inspire the audience to start buying up batteries and bottled water. "We wanted to blend fact and fiction to draw the audience into the world of the game. Some elements of the script are totally true (Directive 51, Dark Winter simulation and others). However, the script also needed to set up a few key sections of the actual game scenario, which was created by Ubisoft's writers and game designers. "Beyond this, we had an aesthetic challenge where we need to blend elements of the game's look and feel, while also visualizing our specific story in the most striking way possible. In the end we used a color palette and font inspired by the game's art direction, while allowing ourselves to explore virus and breakdown imagery that we developed in-house at Antibody. "Balancing requirements of 3D and HD compositing pipelines, against the needs of an evolving story and message is always a big focus. We restructured the storytelling several times during production, looking for the most effective mix of information and pacing. The big challenge is not to let technical hurdles derail this creative process."
