Please join us for a press conference announcing the official lineup of performers, programming and key initiatives for International Jazz Day 2026, as Chicago prepares to serve as Global Host City for the event’s 15th anniversary year. The conference will feature remarks by state and local officials including Mayor Brandon Johnson alongside representatives from the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz and the Chicago Jazz Alliance. The press conference will take place at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E Washington St) on Tuesday, January 20, promptly at 2 p.m. The conference will be available to stream live at chicago.jazzday.com and on YouTube.
