Trecho do filme "Terra dos Índios", do cineasta Zelito Viana, realizado em 1978, em que aparece o Cacique Nelson Jacinto Xangrê e seus principais auxiliares, que protagonizaram o maior evento do movimento indígena autônomo no Sul do Brasil nos últimos 50 anos: a expulsão de mais de 1.300 famílias de agricultores (e suas comunidades constituídas, com igrejas e escolas, dentro da terra indígena), intrusos das terras dos Kaingang de Nonoai (norte do Rio Grande do Sul), quando a população indígena total da mesma área não passava de 1.200 pessoas.
