Kerala Stars Raided By Customs Over Cars Smuggled From Bhutan | Crime News | India Today

The Customs Department is conducting checks at multiple locations in Kerala, including the residences of actors Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Amit Chakalakkal in Kochi. The investigation relates to vehicles allegedly smuggled from Bhutan. A group reportedly purchased decommissioned vehicles from the Indian Army in Bhutan at low prices, created forged registration documents using seals of the Indian Army and various embassies, and sold them to high-profile individuals. Two vehicles belonging to actor Dulquer Salmaan have been seized. The central question in the preliminary investigation is whether the actors knew the cars were illicitly sourced. An official stated, "The customs is not yet sure if the actors knew that these were smuggled via Bhutan using forged documents.
