This presentation explores the legal challenges surrounding gatekeeping parents, grandparents’ rights, and the role of new partners in custody disputes. It examines when parental gatekeeping becomes restrictive, grandparents’ rights to visitation or custody, and how a parent’s significant other can impact legal decisions. We’ll discuss court considerations, legal remedies, and practical strategies for navigating these complex family dynamics while prioritizing the child’s best interests.
