It literally enables you to tap into the rich abundance that is nature. By learning the five simple plant propagation techniques, buying expensive plants becomes a thing of the past. Comfrey will grow almost anywhere and Comfrey flower prefers a sweet soil and grows best in rich, moist soil in full sun, but will tolerate some shade. It will grow well in clay, light sands, or loams whether in dry or wet areas. Strong growing and deep-rooted, Comfrey adapts well to almost any environment. Comfrey is also super-easy to transplant. For the past month, I've been cutting chunks of root and leaves from our larger comfrey plants and transplanting the cuttings to other areas of the gardens where I know it will be helpful to have it. Comfrey is a hairy plant of damp ground and is found beside rivers, in fens and ditches, and on roadside verges and waste ground. It often grows in clumps and displays clusters of bell-shaped, pinky-purple flowers from May to July. Which had a lot of similarities with plant division, comfrey is a straightforward case of root division: we dig up a root, cut it into small pieces, and plant those pieces. Cut the root into 1-2" segments for planting. Even the thin bits of the root can be planted and will grow. You can go to your neighbor and get a small piece of a great plant and in one year you can build up your supply to boatloads. Literally boatloads.
