I’ve been talking about creating a new flagstone path through part of the courtyard at Okarga Farms, and now it’s finally time to pick the perfect stone to make it happen. We’ll start at home with a quick look at the layout I’m envisioning: 🪴 Cozy, informal walkways that vary in width, 🌿 Plantings like creeping thyme between stones, 💡 Natural browns to match our home’s color palette, and 🪨 Larger landing stones to anchor key areas. Then we hit the road to check out two inspiring spots: 📍 First, we stop at Sanders Nursery in Broken Arrow to see a beautiful flagstone display garden that’s packed with ideas — from plant layering to using gravel for filler. 📍 Then we make our way to Hardscapes in South Tulsa, where I show you around their massive selection of stones, including one I absolutely fell in love with. After narrowing down the options, I share my final selection and how I plan to shape, place, and install the stones for a path that’s functional, beautiful, and garden-ready.
