Contact Team Mosso for pricing and availability. Email: [email protected] SKU: 5003986 Launched in 2015 and heavily influenced by the legacy of George Daniels, the Roger W. Smith Series 4 also draws immensely from the 2013 "GREAT Britain" piece unique watch. This 41mm yellow gold watch is a piece unique and believed to be one of only 10 Series 4s in existence as of the fall of 2024. This watch features a unique "entrenched" orbital date and a triple calendar moonphase display that jumps instantaneously at 12 midnight. The dial consists of engine-turned guilloche in several patterns on dial blanks of sterling silver and yellow gold. Hands are Roger Smith's distinctive fired violet/brown design with spade-like tips. This Roger W Smith Series 4 measures 14.7mm in thickness and 48.4mm from lug-to-lug in 18-karat yellow gold. All case work is performed in the UK and Isle of Man. The maker's mark is Roger W. Smith's workshop; the hallmarks indicate 750 gold and United Kingdom; the growler indicates assay in London; "X" indicates 2022 assay; the crown commemorates the 70th anniversary (platinum jubilee) of Queen Elizabeth II. Case lugs are welded and hand-filed. Mechanical specifications of the Roger W. Smith manual wind caliber include a 52-hour power reserve, hacking seconds, a beat rate of 18,000 vibrations per hour, and a free-sprung "Quadrajust" balance wheel. The George Daniels co-axial escapement has been evolved to operate in three planes (one is the drivetrain) and employs a monobloc wheel for impulse of the balance. This arrangement reduces mass, complexity, and improves power reserve. The tangential friction of this system impulses the balance both directly and indirectly while avoiding the sliding friction of a conventional lever escapement. All elements of the movement are finished by hand in the atelier of Roger W. Smith on the Isle of Man. #swisswatch #luxurywatches #RogerWSmith #watch #luxurywatches #watchcollector
